People are very afraid of B Stock. I don't know why. Most of the time it's just returned merchandise. When something does go wrong, the mfg. inspects it from top to bottom, and replaces the damaged parts. Most of the time, the mfg. will warrant the product as new. As soon as you open the box of your new receiver or speaker, it's now "B Stock". You just reduced it's value 25% or more. If you take it back, someone will get a heck of a savings. Why not take advantage of this market? It's out there. It's your money. I've never seen a thread on this site that stated were someone was sorry for buying B Stock while knowing about it. Some etailers are known for selling B Stock and not advertising it. That's illegal. But when properly disclosed, it's savings in your wallet.

Speaking of B stock

Almost all of my system is either B/open stock or FREE ...check it out here: http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3607

...I only had one problem with an open box. It was a receiver from CC, I took it home and the tuner didn't work, took it back and got a different receiver....that receiver has been working hard for over 6 years now. I don't mind B stock items; I just make sure that there is a warranty and a good return policy.

Buy where you audition ,or buy online.+- of each, just don't buy things you know you're going to return 100%.Buy where you audition, and keep it."paying hundreds of dollars less from etailers for the same hardware" We all do this but I like to think few uses people and stores like you."trail blazers that helped create all the B stock product that I have been feasting upon."Every consumer pays for this eventually hence"full retail and extended warranties". JUST BUY ONLINE AND LEAVE THE STORES ALONE.DON'T MESS WITH PEOPLE LIKE THAT.Which would be exactly the right thing for you.

I did not buy with 100% intention of returning but even if I did, it is the stores policy, not mine. I wasn't shopping at Tiny Tims AV Emporium (please sir, are you sure you want to return that). Were talking Good Guys here. Anyway, your gettin kinda high toned for a primate.

Like it makes a difference who the B&M was that you "ripped off"? Like GG has any greater margins to play with than Tiny Tims?

By the way, let's use the proper verbage..... "ripped off".

This is on the same level as the person that eats 3/4 of their meal and then "finds" a finger tip floating in their food bowl.

No wonder B&M stores in every field of endeavor are so expensive, their overhead has to put up with people like you.
