Not bad for a 20+ year old subwoofer.

In preparation for my long awaited basement renovation to be completed I wanted to see how the 20+ year old Mirage BPS400 holds up by itself with no PEQ via MiniDSP HD or room correction via Audyssey and I do have to say for a single subwoofer in an L shaped room it still performs. For the last 3 months I’ve been using one of what is a pair of them as I was given a great deal on two pairs of SVS SB1000’s and wanted to see what they’re all about. Regardless for what I paid for the pair of the BPS’s even after buying a new old stock amplifier for one of them and than replacing both 12” drivers with OEM units that were never installed, I’m just over the $500 mark. Again in its current state my room is just awful but I make due with what I have at my disposal. The only thing I did before this measurement was set the output level to 80dB and place it 20” from rear wall and 14” from the side wall.
