Nice set up. Had an Energy exls8 with the Take 5+1 HTIB, it does well in a corner with bass reinforcement. Who makes Prolinear? What country are they from?

thanks

thanks for the info.

prolinear is a canadian brand, made here in vancouver. they sound good for the price, and i don't have heeps of money to spend on big brands, so they did well.

most of my speakers(cept center) have been discontinued.

Those Prolinear look well built. Always nice to support the locals, in my experience that's where the best deals and support are to be had anyway...eh?

It's not how much it cost that matters, it's the value you associate with it, and most importantly, how it sounds to you that's important. Don't ever let audiosnobs get to you. Highest price is not indicitave of highest quality. People that simply must have the most expensive gear and absoutely must let everyone know it are usually making up for what's missing in thier pants (or head, same thing isn't it?). Giggidy, giggidy.

haha, allllriiight.

yeah i know exactly what you mean. my friend has(well, his daddy bought them) some wharfedale diamond 8.1's i think, yeah they are nice, but they don't warrent the 350 dollar price. i hate people like that(IE : privateer)

my towers were 220 CAD, and they have usable bass into the 30's, and they only have that harsh sorta "sss" noice when im listening to cd's, and thats at high volumes. so im happy. but the upgrade bug is here, and i think im putting a 4th wall in the room niext, cause my E:xl-s8 can't fill a 16 by 24 room. its weird how this room is laid out. its 2 rooms, but theres a big opening in my back wall(the one the couch goes on). and i don't have any bass below 35 hz or so, and my sub can hit into the 20's wih proper placement. ill put up more pictures later, one with the whole set up, so you can get a good idea of what the whole thing looks like
