Noob alert - Connecting a Sub

So, I pre-wired for all of my speakers in my HT room. Well I ordered all of the Banana plug wall plates for each speaker and the large 2 gang wall plate for all of the wires where the receiver will be.

Well, all of the speakers have 2 ports (pos & neg) however the sub ports are a single component jack? Well, the wire I ran for subs is the same speaker wire I used for the rest of the speakers, I guess I screwed up and used the wrong wire? Not sure how the good subs connect, but my cheapie that came with my old Onkyo HTIB has a component plug in on the back and not the 2 posts that other speakers have.

So, is there a way to use the speaker wire I have in place or am I stuck?

Which sub did you get?
Well, I haven't got one yet. I was leaning towards the Rythmik FV15 or FV15HP, but think for about the same money I am going to get 2 of the Outlaw LFM-1 EX's.

Just reread your post.

Unfortunately, except for fishing a sub cable, no solution jumps out. Even when you get a good subwoofer, RCA input is the preferred connection (and not the speaker level input).

Any of those choices would be awesome IMO. How big is your room, though?

Can you re-run the proper subwoofer cable? Something like this is all you'd need (not sure what length so I just linked to the 25 footer):

Here's the master link to all the lengths:

Well, the only problem is when I rebuilt my house after the fire, I had spray in self-expanding foam insulation sprayed in all of the exterior walls and the attic roof. The cable for the sub is in an exterior wall, so I guess I am going to have to get creative.

Thanks for the link!

If you have a baseboards, you can run it behind them.
