No surround sound through my new HTR-5760

I had old HTIB 5.1 speakers which I hooked up to my new Yamaha HTR-5760. Other than 7 Ch Stereo mode, I do not get sound from my 2 surround speakers. I have tried all of the modes, but I can't seem to get it to work. Is it possible that my receiver is bad straight out of the box or am I missing something? The YPAO correctly determines the speakers and settings, and the sound coming out of the speakers during setup is good. I'd appreciate any help. I am using digital in from my Satellie box and I also connected the digital cable to my DVD player. Same results.

Read this and see if this helps. If it does not, then I'd guess you probably want to replace your receiver.

Thanks for the reply. I was already using my old HTIB receiver with the dolby settings, and I did verify that I was sending dolby output to my receiver.
