I have a strange issue going on with my TV and blu-ray player. When i try to play the subtitles on my TV screen they don't show. I played the same DVD on my computer and the subtitles were shown. I'm sure the answer is right in front of my nose. The blu-ray player is the OPPO BDP-103 Universal Disc Player. Is there a setting that needs to be on?

Hi. A couple of things come to mind to try:

1. If you're trying to show subtitles by pressing the "Subtitle" button on the remote, try turning on the subtitles from the disc menu itself...and vice versa.
2. Depending on your display settings, you may need to shift the location of the subtitles. Check out pages 34 and 55 of your Oppo owners manual.

I got it working. When i updated the firmware it changed the Subtitle Shift in the Display options to -5 when it should have been at 0.
