A friend has recently had his Yamaha RX-V357 stop making sound. All connections have been double checked. I can't get to it to diagnose. Apparently he blew the circuit that it was powered by plugging in an A/C unit. The yamaha still powers up and you can change inputs but now sound is made.

What could the problem be? I am thinking that the power transformer might be blown but don't have much experience with broken avr's.

Ah the beauty of magic... Now it works.

It's likely he screwed up a setting, has now fixed it and doesn't want to tell me what he f'ed up:rolleyes:
