no sound subwoofer

need help. have klipsh rebel subwoofer, and i cannot get any bass out of it. I have a denon 1804 av receiver. subwoofer connected in sub out on denon, no direct connect to subwoofer. what should i hook to left line in or left line out?

Certainly the in connection but you may have to use both left and right by using a Y splitter. Some subs require both, others don't. I suppose you have selected 'yes' to having a sub in your 1804 setup.
