No Signal from Pioneer Elite Zone 2 Preamp

I have an SC-81 and I'm trying to run an analog signal to another amplifier for my Zone 2, but nothing is coming out.

I have a seperate amp running my patio speakers and I'm trying to get the pre-amp zone 2 out to supply it with a signal. I get sound when I hook my iphone to it, but not the SC-81.

I'm fairly positive I need to set the zone 2 to "preamp" or not powered but I can't find it for the life of me.

You probably have all your source components connected with digital connections like HDMI, coax or optical. If you’re getting nothing to Zone 2 it means that analog connections are required from the source components.

I'm not sure if I should take this down or leave it up for anyone else who might have come across this problem.

Turns out, the Zone 2 has a volume level, and the default volume is 0. The only way I can adjust that volume is through the iPhone app. Never had a receiver with a volume level on a Zone 2 preamp output. They always sent music to the amp and I adjusted the volume with the amp.

I guess you learn something new everyday.

Speaking to that, is there anyway to get a digital signal to play analog without changing the source signal?
