No owners manual & no sound on normal cable channels... Bad combo !!!

When I bought the audiovox system we had digital sattelite service and the home theater system worked perfectly on all channels as well as the dvd. Now, i have moved and have brighthouse cable and i can only get the home theater sound while playing a dvd not with regular cable tv channels. Any ideas?

It could be any number of things. Being an Audiovox system I would guess it is an all-in-one combo type system and connectivity is often limited in such systems.

- How is the cable box connected to the receiver / HT system?
- Is it 'digital cable' and is the audio from each station always digital or some digital and some analog (like many digital cable systems).
- Can the receiver support digital audio?
