Wishful thinking trash.

If you don't pay taxes, the IRS will come after you and you will go to jail, end of story.

There are lots of people people much smarter than you, and with much more money than you, who have tried to avoid taxes in every way imaginable. None of them have worked.

I think the day we can stop paying taxes is the day when I see pigs flying.

Not a very nice statement. I have not attacked your intelligence.

Since the Constitution does not specifically state that we have to pay income taxes. Anyone care to volunteer to not pay his/her federal income tax for the next couple of years and see what IRS will do to him/her? Personally I think that someone will end up in jail, or IRS will take the money directly out of that person's bank account, or put his/her estate up for auction, etc.

But words are cheap, this is a worthy endeavour to uphold the principle of the Constitution.

Taken directly from the IRS website:

The Law: There is a host of constitutional and statutory authority establishing that the Internal Revenue Service is an agency of the United States. The U.S. Supreme Court stated in Donaldson v. United States, 400 U.S. 517, 534 (1971), "[w]e bear in mind that the Internal Revenue Service is organized to carry out the broad responsibilities of the Secretary of the Treasury under § 7801(a) of the 1954 Code for the administration and enforcement of the internal revenue laws."

Pursuant to section 7801, the Secretary of Treasury has full authority to administer and enforce the internal revenue laws and has the power to create an agency to enforce such laws. Based upon this, the Internal Revenue Service was created. Thus, the Internal Revenue Service is a body established by "positive law" because it was created through a congressionally mandated power. Moreover, section 7803(a) explicitly provides that there shall be a Commissioner of Internal Revenue who shall administer and supervise the execution and application of the internal revenue laws.

In other words, we have to pay taxes. Now, as far as death - there's always religion to save you. ;)

I looked at that IRS site, the funny thing is, all of the references on there are to case law, but none to any constitutional law.

I think that is all that matters, case law. There are only 27 amendments, one repealing another.
Yet, libraries are full of case laws, codes, laws, rules regulations, etc.

This link is nothing new, similar claims been around for a very long time. Guess what. Followers are in jail and many leaders if they stropped paying are in there too.

Let us know in 5 years what happened:D
