Please bare with me Iam new to this and could use some advice. I own a JVC RX-D302B which has no lineouts (preouts?) for the speakers just binding posts. I also own a Yamaha M-40 multi-channel amp which has to inputs (RCA?) plus several binding posts. I want to listen to music and movies in the living room on 5.1 sound but also be able to listen to music in the living room but also in four other zones. After some research I have come to the conclusion that I need to replace my new receiver with a receiver that has lineouts included so that my project can be completed. I hope that someone will give me the magic key that Iam looking for. Thanks for your time...

Pioneer VSX-816, that is your best bet. Maybe even the Insignia from Best Buy.

The Insignia Receiver I purchased from Best Buy has pre-outs for the front left and right channels. The review I wrote for it is skewed because I improperly tested, meaning I had an error that didn't allow the receiver to function as it should function. The Insignia doesn't have all the bells and wistles the Pioneer has, but it has a pretty solid internal layout. It is the only reciever that Best Buy carries that has a toroidal power supply.

The Insignia is only $150 and should have more power than the Pioneer. It is only 6.1 where the Pioneer is 7.1.
