Hey guys. I haven't checked email, the stock market, the indices, currency... nothing. Part of what's relaxing to me is doing what I want when I want. Right now, it's so damn dark out you can't see anything, so I'll pop on the internet for a bit and actually look up stupid stuff that I would absolutely never take the time to do while at home. The girls watched a bit of tv today, but for less than an hour. We're just hanging out and it's great. We brought Christina's best friend with us for the week so they're having fun hanging downstairs together.
It rained all day today, but it still feels perfect. Nancy and I actually got bundeled up and went for a walk up here on the mountain. We didnt' even care that it was 35 degrees and drizzling. We found a little dog wandering around so I got him to come to me to see his collar so we could call his owners. This is funny... the tag read. "Hi I'm Bobby! I live here on My Mountain. Just ignore me. I know my way home."
We've saw him later on in the day too and he followed us back to the cabin and he just came right in and laid down by the fire and slept all day. I'm not sure where he lives, but he's still here with us tonight. I know he must have a home, but he doesn't seem intent on leaving. I'm a bit conflicted about it, because I'm sure he belongs to someone, but at the same time, who would let their little dog run up and down the mountain in the freezing rain all night. I'm thinking at some point, he'll get hungry and want to go home so we haven't given him any goodies just for that reason. We'll see what happens.
Other than that, I'm having a great time. The kids havn't got out of their pj's since they got here. Rain or shine, we're all getting up early and going horseback riding. There's a really nice day spa about 45 minutes from us and we're all gonna go there tomorrow in the afternoon and get some pampering and have dinner at this flashy Italian place. I'm happy just sitting in my rocking chair, but it's nice to get out and do some stuff too. I think Wednesday we're going to two other winerys. I'm surprised at how good the wine is here. They're able to group a lot of different French varietal grapes here. I'm working on this oak aged Cab we bought yesterday at the Habersham Winery and I would say it's just as good as any other $40-$50 cab I've had. Good stuff here in GA.
I'm gonna head out and go make dinner. We found this seafood market in town and bought a bunch of lobster, shrimp, and sea bass. I'm going to make a big giant pot of bouilliabaise... perfect for the weather here.
