Firstly is anyone here a Nightwish fan? I love them myself.
What I am wondering is if anyone here owns the DVD-Audio version of Once? I would like to know if there is significant enough mastering differences to merit re-buying the album on DVDA.
In my opinion the CD version suffers from typical too-loud mixing, and feels like it has a "wall of sound" going on when it is very orchestral and should have a much wider dynamic. Im really hoping the DVD-A is mixed more like a classical album, with real dynamics.
I am personally interested in mostly the 2.0 and 2.1 mixes (if it even has more than one), although I have access to a decent 7.1 setup I could use. Also -- is there anyone willing to part with their version of it? Or anyone know of somewhere I can get it for less than a $60 + shipping to import it?
