Yesterday the Washington Commanders easily beat the Carolina Panthers, 40-7. But Jayden Daniels, the QB was injured as he broke a long run.

Ask anyone who followed the former Washington QB Robert Griffin III. Similar to Daniels, he was small & fast. Unlike Daniels, his passing was so so, and his ability to read pro defenses was poor. At first Griffin pulled off amazing runs. After about 6-7 games the NFL defenses knew enough to neutralize him. By the end of that season he was so injured that his career was cut short.

As soon as Washington fans saw the similarities between Daniels and Griffin, they feared an injury could easily end his career too.

Daniels was injured in the rib cage, but apparently no cracked ribs were seen by X-ray. Today he will probably have a CT scan to better understand his injury. The coaches must convince him to avoid running the ball. Pro defenses are faster than anything he saw in college football, even in the SEC.
He got hurt running, but my impression is Daniel's isn't really trying to run unless the pocket collapses. I love that he can throw it downfield. However, it's so effortless for him I hope it doesn't end up being a case of too effortless. I'd have liked to seen him take the game by the reigns vs Baltimore.

Whew glad the Cards got by SD. Nothing special at 3-4, but in second in the division. Kyler is a lot of fun to watch. Just wish it was translating to more wins.

The Vikes lose again. Their D has really been bad the last 2 games. The refs missed the face mask in the end zone at the end but that’s not what cost them the game. The NFL though is a joke. They have refs ruining the flow of games with tricky tack calls all game and then they blow the major calls. It’s been a problem for years but the owners don’t care they just rake in the TV money.

A bizarre loss, especially defensively.

The Vikes D were world-beaters the first few games. Since then we've fallen off the table. We need a pass rush badly. Darnold has not been the problem the last two games.

for the record they were originally in LA, 1960 when the AFL was formed
I didn't know that. I do know that the Vikings were almost the AFL franchise that became the Oakland Raiders. At the last minute the NFL awarded a franchise to Vikings owner Max Winter.

Ok, since we're playing trivia..........

In 1960 the AFL was formed, 8 teams, 8 owners known as 'The Foolish Club'. Of those 8 teams name the only 2 that never changed their name or moved.

No cheating !

My guess: Bengals and Bills? I was going to say the Ravens just to be funny. When Cleveland played the Ravens, my brother used to say "The Browns play the Browns".

you got one one right, the Bengals were not part of the original 8
The Pats? Or The Jets? Seems to me they were the Titans if I have that correct. I don't know their history if they were in the NFL as the Titans. Seattle was in the AFC years ago, but I think they were an NFL expansion team.
