Hi sir....i have just purchased HK AVR-135 for my surround reciever and my source is azur 540d. Now what im lacking is a good back for my buck floor standing speakers. I narrowed down to two choices:

Mission m73i (two way floor standing speakers) and
JBL E60BE(three way floor standing speakers)

im partial with mission coz it is brit company, but JBL is three way system.

i cant decide w/c one should i get for my harman kardon AVR...any insights, recommendation is highly appreciated.

usage ratio: 70% music, 30% movie

I think that your best bet would be to take your reciever with you (unless the store ha the same one) and demo the speakers on your components with your music and make the descion based on which speaker best suits your aplication. I have personally found JBL speakers reliable, and of fairly good sound for the price point. The descion is yours and take your time choosing because you don't want to be stuck with crappy speakers. Enjoy your music. :)

thanks soniceuphoria...auditioning is out of my option for Mission because the hi-fi dealer is in philadelphia and im here in NJ....i'll try with JBL in Expo Electronics i think they carry harman kardon A/V. JBL has been a steady performer you are right but i wanna try brit made mission but i need testimony from someone who have mission experience. Thanks bud.

I have had a pair of Mission 717 bookshelf speakers for a long time. I recently replaced them with Axiom M22ti's, and there is really no comparison. If you are not averse to mail order, check out the Axiom lineup. They are Canadian made, nearly unbeatable performance per dollar, and I can personally vouch that their customer service is second to none. I toppled over a footstool installing my brand new VP150 center channel speaker and dinged up one of the aluminum cone drivers. One call to Axiom and they had me a new driver on the way the next day, no charge.
