So since having children 18 years ago, I moved from a 5.1 system to a sound bar/5.1 system. It's been ok, but as I have gotten into stereo hi-fi more over the past few years, I have begun to miss the full experience. I have been looking for deals on budget components. I have Elac Debut B6's for my front left and right. I have the Elac Debut 2.0 C6.2 as my center. I have Elac Debut IW-D61-W in wall for my rear/side surrounds.

I think I plan to go with a 5.1.4 or 5.2.4 system in the end, but am still looking for the right receiver. I was planning on doing in-ceiling RSL C34E MKII for the atmos speakers.

I attached my floorplan of the living room and my sectional sofa is up against the wall, so I know that is not recommended, but if you had to try and make this setup work the best, what would you recommend for the placement of the in-wall IW-D61's? Or would it be better to possibly go with RSL W25E in walls for my rear surrounds, as they are able to rotate some. I have even thought about two extra C34E's as my rears. Ceilings are 9 ft tall. Floors are porcelain ceramic tile, but we have a very large area rug covering most of the floor in the living room.

I've been watching way to many videos and reading on the 5.1.4 systems and proper placement. I know I won't be near optimum, but I think I can make it work much better than the soundbar. After watching many videos about having the rear surround behind or to the side, and watching Gene DellaSala's video today. I think I'm best off having those rear in walls to the side and slightly ahead of my main listening spots. Which is the recliner and the end of the sectional where it meets the recliner. I also listen to a lot of music, that I would love to do in the living room as well. Wife won't allow me to use stands, so I think the in-walls are my best option.

Any advice on the placement of the in-walls as rear/side surrounds would be great and I appreciate all the advice! Also, I am not great with sketchup, so it looks a bit off centered in the floorplan, but the center, left, right and tv are all centered on the Chair/recliner.
