I am putting together a surround system and I wanted to know some of your expert opinions. So far I've decided I am buying the Yamaha RX-V4600 receiver and a 50" Plasma. The room is 20x30 with vaulted celilings and lots of windows and it opens into the kitchen. I'm restricted to small, wall mounted speakers becuase of the wife (She wants me to buy the Bose acustimas). If you could buy any 5.1 surround speaker system for the $2,000 range..what would it be. So far, I've looked at M&K System and K series; Klipish, The Monitor Audio Radius 45 & 90, Paradigm Cinema and Axiom Midi. Thanks in advnance..

I have heard the Paradigm cinema speakers and for their size I was really impressed they also fit within your budget so they are def. something that I would go an audtion.

PS so jelous thats the receiver I want except its back ordered everywhere around here so I can't go check it out

I have just the Axiom 60's & am very pleased. After hearing them, a friend of mine gave them a call & ended up buying the Epic 50/175. Outstanding.

With the size of the room you have if I had my choice I'd go with the Epic 60/350................but all considered, I think the Epic Grand Master/175 would be a helluva system for that price.....................no tax & free delivery. Plus 30 days to decide if you like it or not. Tough to beat those terms.

The Bose Acousticrap shouldn't even be a consideration.................

Ah, the small restriction thing. Do you think the wife would go for wall mounted, but thin speakers? I believe I posted some links in the reciever thread you started.
