newbie speaker question

I'm setting up a new 7.1 HT setup and i know there are many speaker brands to choose from. I have been looking at basically 2 brands, the axiom80 series and polk's LSi series. I know these brands arent in the same price range but i wanted to know if one brand stands out more then the other as related to quality and sound..Thanks

That is hard to say without a fair comparison. Both companies have good, solid research behind them. Are you not able to listen to either of those speakers?
