Newbie Samsung/Fios hdmi woes

I am new to this site and was wondering if I could possibly get some feed back on this fios hdmi conflict. I've had Fios for over a year now and been very happy with it. I have an older Sony hd Wega WBR and I just purchased a Samsung LN46A650. This set is in a large kitchen area and is not going to be my main home theater set and will not have any dvd/blueray connected to it. I've read other posts with picture and sound problems between the Motorola QIP6200-2 box connected with the hdmi cable, my only problem so far is with the box locking up after a while and needing to be unplugged and reset. This will some times give me up to 6-8 hours and then I will loose signal and have to reset the box again. Is this a Samsung firmware problem or a Fios Motorola problem. I've been told by Fios that I can remedy this by switching to component cables. Fios claims that the component cable will handle there 1080I without any picture loss. My next question is if component cables will work, is there a difference between Monoprice cables and ones from Bluejeans. There is quite a bit of price difference and I don't mind spending the extra for the quality cables to insure I get the best quality picture. I only have a 5 foot run of cable. I know I threw a a few different questions but any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The best cable (or fios) can do is 1080i and HDMI is not a requirement to pass this.

If your box can output this resolution over component, and your TV can input it, then it should be fine.

The only caveat is that with component ,you will have to run an audio feed to the TV. A pair of red/white analog interconnects should do fine. You might even be able to find all five cables in one item.

Five feet isn't a big deal. The "quality" difference, if any, between the two brands, particularly at that level, is insignificant.

Mark, thanks for the reply, I've spoken to the owner of Bluejeans and have heard many positive feed backs about there pricing, product and service. If I'm not mistaking I believe that the price difference is over $50.00 for the 5' cables, do you think the difference in picture quality will not be seen by the human eye?

Thanks

Personally I doubt it, but I'm a big fan of BJC for many reasons. Quality and value is among them.
