Newbie question about speaker enclosure

Hey guys and girls, i have a spare pair of 540w 5 way pioneer 6x9's and an amp, so i thought id make use of it and build a little hifi style thing.

However should the enclosures for each of these speakers be closed or ported, and how big should these dimensions be ?
would really appreciate the help and thanks in advanced

initially thought a simple closed unit would do it seeing as these arent subs and probably dont kick to much air pressure about xD in need of help!

I thought you said "totally unanswerable questions" LOL I just realized you have some homemade DIY speakers and work station you named after yourself.
