I have finally started to make the money I have always deserved and now am buying up the theater I have always needed. I already bought a new Samsung HL-P5085W and now want to retire my theater in a box setup to my room. I am going to start with a receiver and go from there

Out of these receivers what would be the best spent dollar for what you get
Denon AVR 785s
Denon AVR 786s
Onkyo Tx NR801 looking at the most I can get it for $599with 4year warranty
Yamaha HTR 5860 BK

All help is very much appreciated.

Your question gets asked two hundred times per day. Plus you gave no information on what features you need, how large is the room, what other components you have or will buy, etc. The short answer is buy the one you like the best.

I would say that all of your listed choices are pretty equal in quality. Choose the one that offers the best features for you and that you find you can use easily. Another option might be the Pioneer 1015tx receiver.

And btw, being bitter won't get you extra help.

Give it a couple days, Some people are not on every second like me.

But, I think your question has already be answered.

Yeah I second that option, also a Yamaha 5890.

Also, you really should wait until overnight to get a few responses. (don't count views)
Views can be from people that are not even registered (and can not post) They would be guests on the forum (until they register)

And some have no input but are interested in reading the issues being asked. Besides, it is a holiday weekend:D

Sorry guys I have just been in a bind to get a new receiver and have no patience. But I did end up buying the Onyko Tx NR801. I got it for $569 with a 3 year extended warranty
