I am in the process of updating my audio system and integrating it with home theater after a long period of not paying attention to equipment. One of the amplifiers suggested to me is the
Rotel RMB-1095 to be paired with the new Denon DVD-3910 dvd player. Suggested speakers are the new Canton Vento 807DCs and Vento 805 CM (active subwoofer only for movies and sports tv) and compatible satellites to be determined later. If anyone can give information about this I would greatly appreciate it. I have previewed the Canton Vento 802 speakers and was impressed with their transparency, detail and warmth (despite the lack of bass), and they are a candidate for satellite if budget does not go completely OTT.
My room is approximately 14 x 25, with area carpet on parquet, some wood moldings, upholstered and wood frame furniture, wood bookcase wall, and windows along the long wall, and large doorway along opposite long wall, so things tend to sound a bit bright (no draperies). I am also wondering whether I need a 7.1 system rather than a 5.1 system in this space.
