newbie Need's help w/tv ?

Hey guy's I'm new to the whole audio thing. I've done lots of searching with no real help. So here we go. I am wanting a new tv so I went to BB today and seen the Panasonic 720p th-50PX75U. For the price looks awsome, two of the sales guys claim they have the same tv. How reliable are these tv's, Is this a good tv? Should I get the 4year warranty for 299.00? Thanks for any help!

Pannasonic is a very good brand of plasma. You should have no problems. Personally, I would not opt for the extended warranty. I would not put much stock in the fact (or not) that the sales guys say they have the same tv. Some salespeople say that to every customer about every item they are trying to sell, reguardless of the truth.

Those Panasonic Plasma's are really excellent displays. If you're happy with the picture, I'd say go for it. How much are they selling it for at BB? You may be able to do better online. Many of the online retailers offer free shipping.

I have had some great success looking on the net for deals. Ebay is a good source or some whole sale distributors, just have to look around.

I've had a Panny 42" plasma for 3 years now, zero problems, excellent picture quality and lots of bang for the buck. Highly recommended.

Thanks, for the reply's. I was thinking about buying from buydig.com. I bought a harmony remote from them with no problems. I can get it from buydig for 1525.00 shipped, W/1 year manufacture warranty.
OR BB this week sale 1785.00 and 299.00 for a 4year warranty. Should I take a chance and buy from buydig no warranty? Have you guys had or heard of any problems with Panasonic's plasma's. Thanks T
