Hey everyone, I finally decided to bite the bullet and invest some money in a quality home theater setup. I am planning on purchasing a 50" 1080P plasma or 52" 1080P LCD and using a PS3 to play BD content. I live in a three story townhome my home's footprint is fairly narrow, but long. The 1st floor (Living Room, Dining area & Kitchen) dimensions are 13'W by 31'L by 9'H. My couch is going to be apx 7-8' away from the monitor. Behind my couch is my kitchen table and then the kitchen. I've talked to a couple associates from different stores and these are some setups they came up with. Which one of these setups will work/sound better? Also if you have suggestions on other combinations that might work well or better please let me know ($4000 is my max so anything below that will be better).

Thanks again!!

Welcome to the forum.

Question: Why definitive technology products? Is that what is for sale at your local shop?

What is your budget for the whole project? You may be better off checking out some of the recommendations on this site for various budget situations.

For your space I'd prefer Setup #1, but I'd change the surrounds to BP2Xs and the sub to the SC 1. You might also consider the Mythos 4 instead of the Mythos 1.
