My question is, for the speaker wire, it has pins on the ends, so do i just put the pins into the reciever end, and the speaker tower end, just like bare wire?

Ive always just used bare wire in the past, so these pins are new to me and seem weird to put into the post and tighten down.

BTW these arent bannana plugs, they are just the thin gold pins.

I'm pretty sure that those pins go into the binding posts the same way that you'd put in bare wire, but they are intended to make it easier to do that.

Do the ends of the wires look something like this?

Yes indeed. The idea is that you don’t run the risk of having a stray strand of wire that gets pushed to the outside of the binding post & possibly cause a short.

I've never used pins like that. I like banana plugs for the extra security. I'd be afraid the pins would pull out if the speakers were moved. Not a huge issue, but can be annoying. Has to be better than bare wire though.

Hey, yeah the pins are exactly like those ones. I put them into the terminals just like bare wire. But this is the first time using pins, so it seemed a little bit akward tightening down the clamps.
I wanted bannana pins too, but these one came pre assembled on my wire that i purchased.
