newbie here and have some questions about deftech/denon

hi guys! im new to the site and i was hoping to get some help and info
im getting a denon 3806 in a few days and i just wanna know if this receiver can handle a set of deftech bp7004 or 7006 and a CLR 2300?
also if you know some one who sells this speakers pls post it =)


also is a 16 gauge wire ok for this or do i need to get thicker?

You will have no problem powering the speakers with the Denon. Remember, any Def Tech speaker that has internal subs will need to be plugged into the wall as well to power the sub and internal amplifier.

For wiring, if you haven't bought/run the wiring yet, I would go ahead and jump up to 14 gauge, but if you have it, then 16 will work fine.

You'll need to check audio retailers in your area to find out who sells the gear you're looking for. Def Techs are not sold on-line.

i havent bought wires yet. any 14gauge will do? do i need to buy those gold plated tips? dont know its name??

regarding buying the speakers im ok w/ used ones coz the new ones at bestbuy is so damn expensive.
my only problem is not a lot sells the 7004 and 2300. i usually see 7006 and 2002's.

Under 40 or 50 feet, 14 gauge is fine. I use the Radio Shack 14 gauge house brand. Not the Monster cable they now sell.
