hi

am a member of various other audio forums but havent really found the answer so thought i better join and post in an a/v forum for the corrrect answers :)

really want to use my vintage stereo gear to run a home theater system, would like to use a yamaha 2010 for the fronts and a processor/amp to run the front channel and rears...or, use the 2010 for the fronts and a sansui au-999 for the center and rears and a processor w/o onboard amps..;.i do want dolby digital, not just prologic...i do have a denon 1801 but just not that happy with it so thought i would go back to my olden days and try something new out..have no qualms about buying "old" processors and the like, as long as they work, this forum and ebay and craigslist are my friends...

just need some good solid advice/tips/hints/suggestions and probably wiring diagrams incase i do go the yammie and sansui route :)

thanx!

Not to rain on your parade, but it sounds like a whole lot of hassle to end up with what likely will be very mixed results (at best). With AV receivers being so reasonably priced you could probably pick one up new for a lot less cost than you'll end up spending for connectors.........not to mention the asprin for the headaches you'll have ;)
