Hello everyone have been lurking for sometime and thinking if this would work. Have searched this site but couldn.t or didn't understand the answer.

Here we go I have a Denon Avr 3200 and a old PRE Amp Denon POA 1500 is there any way of hooking the POA 1500 to the AVR? If so would this cause any damage?

Thank you for all those that respond.

Thanks;
Gerd

If the 3200 has multichannel analog outputs (assuming the 1500 is m/c), there should be no problem hooking them together.

I believe the 3200 has pre-outs, but only for the L/C/R. This would make a very good upgrade for your mains, but you might really have to bring down the levels when using it with the surrounds... -TD

Thank you for responding. I have tried the Pre Out it has Front Right Center Left and Sub. Left another Right must be for the Sub.. When trying these there is no difference no change in sound level. Also there is 6 Channel Ext. In there are Right and Left Channel for Front Center and Sub. also used this but don't remember pushing the button in the front. Sny help will be much appreciated.

thanks;

The pre-outs are the ones to use. You may not hear much of a difference, if any. The amp should provide a little more gusto for the bass though.

3200 -- 80W
1500 -- 125W
