It has been a while since I had the cash to start building a really nice home system. My room size is 12 x 15, there are two open doorways and three windows in the room. So far, I have the Samsung 61 inch DLP. It is amazing to see sports in HD, better than I expected.
I will be looking for a good DVD player after I get the receiver. Right now, I am looking at receivers and that is where I am getting a little overwhelmed.
I looked at the Sunfire Ultimate, sounded flat.
Looked at the Yamaha RX Z9, very nice.
Looked at the Denon AVR 5803, very nice and powerful.
Looked at the B&K AVR507, sounded powerful, nice and warm.
Looked at the Pioneer VSX49TXi, sounded powerful, nice and warm.
Of all of them and bang for the buck, I like the Pioneer. The Army PX has the Yamaha RX Z9 for $1800.00 but I would have to be stationed overseas. I am in no mood to reenlist for a receiver and I am retired. Well, maybe if there is a Dunkin Donuts in Baghdad I might reconsider! Here are my questions.
What is the major difference between the Pioneer VSX-49TXi and the PioneerVSX-59TXi?
Has anyone listened to the Mirage Omni Polars? What are your impressions?
