Thanks in advance for helping.
I have a JVC RX-6040 audio/video receiver. If i have a component conection that is carrying a 780p or 1080i signal will i lose video quality if i conect 2 component devices to the 2 inputs on the reciever then conect a component cable from the component out jack on my reciever to my HD tv? The reason i ask is since the signal can be weakend by electronic and radio interferance and requires a good cable with thick shielding what happend when the signal gets into the reciever? Is it sent through thin crapy wires in side the receiver, then to the receivers mother board and back out. I would figure that some data might be lost along the way. Also can all component video cables carry a Y Cr Cb (digital) signal? Because i just bought a pair of RCA high performance component cables and it says designed for Y Pr Pb?
Thank you for your help.

Welcome Kory.

As long as the runs on the cables are relatively short (less than 10 feet), the type of cables shouldn't make any difference. The circuitry in the receiver is so small and insignificant, there's absolutely no loss in quality. Plug away into your receiver, and run one set to your tv. It just makes life easier with one remote. There's some great reading at the home page here on cables and all the myths that go along with them.
