I have 2 floor speakers that i bought from a white van scammer back in the mid 2000's. I don't want to use them for scrap and i cant use them as garage speakers bc i dont have a garage.

I currently only have 2 bookshelf spkrs (Polk Audio RTI A1) and the white van floor speakers. My reciever is an entry level onkyo.

my dumb question is: Can i splice the 2 floor spkrs together and connect it to a sub composite plug so that i can run the bass through them?

That is a terrible idea. Just get rid of the white van speakers.

those are the only kind of ideas i have. Is it even possible?

It is possible. It is just not going to have great results. Technically, you don't need to splice them, you would use a separate amp and run the LFE to that amp. They will only play bass, but it won't be like having a sub because I am going to guess they don't extend that deep.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. I agree with j_garcia, if you put your white box speakers on an lfe feed, you're just going to get partial sound and it won't be "subwoofer like". it will just be low frequency sound that the speaker can produce. Might as well just plug them in normally for all the work it would entail.

Buying an amp to do this doesn't make any sense over simply just getting rid of the white van speakers....
