Alright I am new hear thought I'd give some info. I am 23 I work at a radio station actually 5. I love sound. I have been tearing apart speaker/amps since I could pick up a screw driver. I am the guy all my friends come to when their car systems need wired up or an enclosure built. Lately I have been spending less time in my car and more around the house. Therefore I need a kick@ss system for the house aswell.

You guys have a great forum, thanks for listening.

Ha ha thanks, yes radio and sound aren't really related anymore, but it pays the bills. I do have a 5.1 setup, it' an entry level setup I got the parts a best buy. However I want an 70's stereo to get the most out of my vinyl. The bookshelf speakers just aren't cutting it.

Any suggestions? I live in an apartment with my fiancee the listening room is about 30x12. Below ground with a budget around $400.

Thanks for the welcome.

Bookshelf options.

You can get a pair of Axiom M22tis for $400 from the outlet page on their site. Most bookshelf speakers, including these, play down to the 60 Hz range and work best with a sub.

A less expensive option would be a pair of BIC Venturi or Athena Audition series bookshelf spekaers.
