Okay, first off technology has passed me by over the last several years? I just bought a new Yamaha RX-V375 5.1 Channel 3D A/V Home Theater Receiver. I have a DISH Satellite Receiver VIP722k DVR, Magnavox 5 DVD/CD Changer (Home Theater System MRD310), Olevia LCD HDTV 237-T12 and Toshiba TDP-XP1 DLP Projector. I am trying to set system up to watch from TV or Projector. The following is what I have tried and results
Connected VIP722 HDMI out to Yamaha HDMI 1 in,
Connected Magnavox Component Video out to Yamaha AV 2 Component Video in and Magnavox Audio Coaxial out to Yamaha AV 2 Audio Coaxial in.
Connected Yamaha HDMI out to TV HDMI in.
Connected Yamaha Component Video out to TV Component Video 1 in
Result;
I could watch Satellite thru TV with sound thru Yamaha. I could hear DVD sound thru Yamaha but no video with TV selected input as HDMI or Component Video 1.
My house has Cat 5, speaker wire, Internet and Coax cable distributed throughout so since my projector is across room from receivers I had been using the cable to transfer composite video from Sat box and DVD player but when i connect the composite video cable to the Yamaha receiver Monitor out or AV out no signal reached projector but if I take same cable and connect to Sat box or DVD player Composite video out directly then signal reaches projector.

I am planning on buying a Blue Ray player and new Projector with HDMI input and run HDMI cable from Yamaha to new projector but there is only one HDMI out on Yamaha. (These two purchases were future items when bu dget allowed preferably.) How do I make current system work or will it even work?

Thanks
Over my head!!
