New User & Audio Purchaser with Question

Hi All,

First off, thanks for the great forum, its been very handy. Probably should have found it before i purchased!

I have recently purchased a Yamaha RX-V673 AV and 2 x Dali Concept 8 speakers, looking to build over time from here.

My question is, what is the next purchase i should plan.

Centre Speaker, Subwoofer(s) or Yamaha Blue Ray player?

Any advice would be welcomed.

I would get the center speaker next, then the sub, then the blu ray {obviously as long as you are not in a hurry to use a blu ray than that would be next, but if you have a source now and dont have blurays than you should finish the system before buying discs... Good luck, how to the dali's sound? and welcome...

Welcome to the forum, Chris! Congrats on the new gear.

What to get next really depends on your desires and preferences.

For example, do you put a lot of preference on video and watch a lot of movies on disc? If so, then a blu-ray player would be a nice addition. I wouldn't focus on buying a Yamaha one unless there's something specific about them that you like. You can get a good Panasonic, Samsung, or Sony unit for $100 or less.

A center channel is a great addition if you have viewers off to the side. If you sit in between your two Dalis, then you might not notice a huge difference when you add a center channel.

Impressed with the Dali Speakers, my ears are a bit un trained but very happy at this point in time.

Still playing with the RX-V673 really and looking forward to adding more.
