New TV - seems a few heinous issues solved!

I previously mentioned some issues I had with my living room home theater system. Heinous buzzing on a portable AM radio whenever hdmi was plugged in from the the 5 year-old Sony TV to the AVR, no matter what AVR I was using. And the TV sound took a long time to connect whenever I powered up the TV. Like really long. Over a minute sometimes and the screen would go black for a second or two recently. So I bought a TCL Roku TV yesterday and I now the sound fires right up with the TV and AVR now. The heinous AM radio buzzing is gone. And I think the Sony is what made my Onkyo TX-NR696 (which was previously in that room) go wacky.

I've got a Samsung in one the bedrooms that fires up Netflix on it's own all the time. I leave it on the Jack Hannah channel for the animals and at least once a day, Netflix launches which turns on the AVR and the amp. Annoying when guests are watching a show, otherwise just a pain.

Maybe older Sony or Samsung TVs have a bug in the system that breaks the AVR and need to systematically cut it out, but I do not know how to trace it.
