New TV opinions please!

I currently have a 40in Samsung LCD tv. It's about 5yrs old and goes to 1080i. I am in the market for a new tv, and I want to buy it locally. This means Best Buy is my only option. I want 55in and internet connections, but I really don’t care for 3D. I wear glasses all the time so 3D is not important for me as I cannot wear the 3D glasses on top of my regular ones. I have been looking at the tv in this link. I was just looking for some opinions and guidance as I have not purchased a tv for some time, and want the best I can get for around $2000. Thank you in advance for and assistance.

This is last year's model and new models are trickling out from manufacturers. The new Panasonic TC-P55GT30 Plasma is hitting stores and should provide an overall better picture. I'm not sure about pricing, but should be around your price point.
