New TV hookup to RCA cables attached to ceiling speakers

I have a new 2020 tv that only allows audio out by optical, Bluetooth and HDMI. I have “in ceiling” speakers which are wired and are powered into a jack into the wall and then have RCA cables that were attached to the old tv. I tried using a digital to analog converter which worked but would not allow me to adjust the sound. The sound coming out of my 50” LG tv is fixed and has no adjustment in the tv for variable output. I have a 2009 Nuvo home audio system that these speakers are also wired to in another room. Anyways, is there a way to control the sound if I buy a new receiver to send the sound from my tv to and then out my ceiling speakers? This way I could control it through my receiver? Please advise.

Yes, an appropriate receiver could do what you want to do. How are the ceiling speakers amplified?

There are 2 jacks on the wall by the tv. Each jack has a power out Jack with power cord and a plug-in jack that comes out and has two RCA cables braided together that go into the old tv. There are 4 ceiling speakers to this tv. I think that those jacks in the wall are wired to the Nuvo audio system that controls the whole house.

Do you have a model number for the Nuvo system? Can you take pics of the jacks/wiring?

Those are extremely low resolution pictures. Not sure what is going on there as we can't really see a thing.

But, if your TV connects directly to a system which already amplifies the TV from the audio output of the TV and you are looking for something which provides stereo RCA outputs with volume control, you may want to try something like this:

With a new TV that has an ARC (audio return channel) connection on the TV, it will take the audio from the TV and convert it to RCA jacks which are then VOLUME CONTROLLED through the TVs volume controller.

This has been confirmed by others to work with LG and Samsung TVs at the very least. It should work with others. If not, well, return it and get another unit.

Sorry about the resolution but this site wouldn’t allow the actual size of pictures to load. I’m guessing this converter you are recommending is different from the one I tried. I’ll give it a try. Thanks for taking the time to help me!!

On the other hand, the pictures appear quite small, you might try again with however you resized them with less "shrinking"....
