My son is heading off to school and needs a display. I was thinking something in the 32" range as there is a lot available. Don't want to spend a lot of money, maybe between $275 to $350. Saw a Samsung 32' 720P LCD, MDL# LN32D450G1DXZA @ $350. He will not be sitting super close and will mostly be using the TV for gaming and Movies. Good option or are there others to consider? Thanks

I would buy this one instead:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Panasonic+-+32"+Class+/+720p+/+60Hz+/+LCD+HDTV/2125233.p?id=1218318915121&skuId=2125233

Less money and a brand that I think is better. Panasonic is tough to beat for TVs of their size and type and price.

Mind you, I expect that the one you had in mind is a fine choice, so if you already bought it, I would not worry about it.

Incidentally, both the one you mention and the Panasonic I suggested are 31.5" TVs. The screens are slightly less tall than the old 27" CRT 4:3 TVs, but, of course, much wider.
