One of my friends has asked for my help in purchasing a new TV. He's looking for something around 50" and has a budget of aprox. $2000, which can't be raised, for the tv. We've been shopping around at local stores, Best Buy, Circuit City, and Nebraska Furniture Mart and have come up with these two. Having a PC input is a must for the display. Mitsubishi WD-52527 aprox. $1800 http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/televisions/details.asp?id=182 Samsung HL-S5086W aprox. $2000 http://www.samsung.com/Products/TV/DLPTV/HLS5086WXXAA.asp Both of these seem to have a very nice picture, but that is all based on the comparison of them being in a store and that particular feed they were recieving. Is there anything else we should be looking at in this price range? He is more concerned with a larger screen size, so flat panels are pretty much out of the question and a projector won't work for his application. Thanks for the help.
