new system set up help

I have my complete system a home except the center channel and blue ray player. I am going to use my PS3 for the mean time but have to wait until after X-Mas for the center.
Is it better to wait to set the whole system up one time with all of the permanent equipment? I am not sure if it would be OK or more difficult to set it up now, then have to go back a redo everything when I get the center and BD player. Any thoughts?

I'd set it up right now and piece the rest together as you get it.

I'd also use the PS3 as the blu-ray player and save the money on buying another one. The center will be easy to install once you get it.

Agreed. The addition of the center channel will not be a big deal. For now, (and I'm assuming that your receiver will do this) you can run the system with a "phantom" center channel, which just means that the audio that would normally go to the center channel will play through the front two speakers.

Once you add the center channel, you'd reconfigure the settings on the receiver, but that's it.

I wasn't sure about the whole mic set up that came with the Onkyo 805.
Would I reuse it once I get the center? Thanks for the replys.

Yes, just re-run the auto cal once you add the center. You really need to re-run it anytime you make major furniture moves too.

PS3 is the best Blu-Ray player on the market.
