Well, I auditioned the Swan sub and was not impressed and did not buy it. I'm thinking of investing my hard earned money for the following system...I can get everthing for just under $3,000...I would appreciate any comments on any of the components or the blend of any of them or experience with any....

1) 2 -Snell LCR7's upfront
2) 2 -Snell J7's for the Back
3) Yamaha RX-V1800
4) Sunfire d-10 Sub

I would add a center later, along with a power conditioner.

I listened to the LCR7's powered with a Marantz Reciever (model unknown)with a SVS Cylinder sub (preamp model unknown)....it had excellent detailing and a very wide sound stage.

The Yamaha receiver should do you well. Don't waste your money on a Power conditioner. Get a good surge protector (Panamax) for both your receiver and one for your sub's location. And you should be fine. If you have electrical issues, it'll be better money spent calling out an electrician to check your panel and find out what the issues really are than buying a power conditioner.
