My Setup for theater

Room: 24'L 14'W
Amp: Denon 4802R ( Ultra 2)
Front Speakers: Jamo Inwall 626 K4 (Three)
Surround: Jamo Inwall SU631K4 (Four)
Sub: JBL E150P

Need a new subwoofer, this one distortion occurs very easily.

If any one suggests from JBL, PSB Jamo or Infinity, can spend up to $500-999. Other suggestions are welcome too.

Yeah, that sub is a complete piece of junk. The other speakers in that series are nice, just not that one.

I like Buck's ideas. I'd consider one of the SVS tube subs instead of the box for the most bang for your buck.

My 20-39 PCi does just fine in a room similar to yours in size. BTW, that is a great receiver...

If I were to do it again, I'd pony up just a bit more and go with a 25-31 PC-Plus tuned to 20hz. You'd save about $50 in comparison to the 20-39 PC-Plus, $125 cheaper than the box version and it would be a bit smaller than the 20-39. Not drastically smaller, but 8in. shorter, which might help in location placement.

The PB12-Plus would be just as nice, but I found their box subs to be a little too big, eats up too much room horizontally for my taste... -TD

The SVS cylinders are fantastic!! I absolutely love my PCI 25-31. I don't think I will ever want to upgrade. More than enough for any setup with your room size. Mine is just a little bigger 16X28 and I have not turned the gain up to more than 3/4. Most of the time I keep it at about half and it will vibrate everything. Stays clean through all freqs as well. Just my .02
