:rolleyes: looking to set up a new home theater, last one lost in home fire.my room size is W-15 x L-38x H-7.5 what are your thought on a onkyo tx sr 703 with wharfedale dia. 9.6 for r & l front, a 9cm or cs for center, evdution for the rear and a svs pci20-39 or a 25-31 for the sub.? also is there a problem with heat in the rec. your help will help me greatly. thanks

Sorry to hear about the fire. That's a big room, those subs should cut it, but I might look to a Plus if you want reference levels. I've heard the 25-31PCi in a room that was 25 x 30 with high vaulted ceilings and it did surprisingly well. I've only heard one of the Diamond 8 bookshelf speakers , but they sounded pretty good to me. The sensitivity of the 9.6 with the larger center should do OK, even in a room that size. The 703 is probably not going to be quite enough power for high SPLs, but you can try it out and add an amp down the road if it isn't enough for your listening levels.
