I have been missing in action for a few years. Kids, practice, life, wife..u know how it goes.
Anyways we moved into a house and are going to be pulling wires from a closet to the TV( 50 feet of HDMI or so...using redmere technology...here is the link, tell me if bad idea ..

SO i am going to hide my comcast dvr in the closet. I now need a receiver to use in that closet. So recommendations on a decent reciever? This is my family room and not the theater room (i will ask for recs on that later). So just something decent to watch some normal TV and football games and some movies with kids.
Also need to run a wire for the base from the closet to the family room so need a suggestion on the wire to run for that.
One other note, so the guy who had the house already left me bose speakers hanging in the ceiling...i have been told to use the bose stuff i hvae to have a bose amplifier, is that correct?
