new receiver or add a pre amp to existing

my equipment is:
Center channel Martin Logan Fresco
Front Speakers Martin Logan Vistas
Rear speakers Martin Logan Ticket
Side speakers Niles
Sub Definitive Technology
AV- Denon 3805. 120W at 8 ohms.
i am finding that the amp does not power the martin logan Vistas or Fresco especially during movies. Stereo is fine. The Martin logan tech support said that this is because they are 4 olm not 8 olm speakers and suggested a 4 olm preamp for the front speakers and center channel. not sure how you find this pre-amp
next i am wondering if i should just get a new receiver (Onkyo TX-NR5008 9.2),(and probably a divorce) and wire four of the speakers to the front speakers. also then gives me HDMI which the Denon does not have.

I see emotiva being too popular around here? is it so good on price/performance ratio?

For example, an emotiva pre/pro+amp is better than a usual well known brands on receivers like onkyo or yamaha for the same price?
