New Receiver <$450

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and I'm in search of some suggestions. I've been looking for a new receiver. My old JVC bit the dust so, I'm looking to replace it. Some of the models I've been looking at are:
Yamaha RX-659/ HTR-5960
Pioneer 1015tx
Harman/Kardon AVR-340
What are some suggestions for either of these models or some other models/brands I should look at. I really want a receiver with component video upconversion. I have really efficient speakers right now so power should not be a problem. I would also like the ability to hook up an external amp later on just in case I get some less efficient speakers (Magnepan's maybe). Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you for all of your help.

I don't think that the Pioneer 1015 is greater than $450, but I'm sure that they have more expensive models. How much over $450 do you want to go?

Based on the models you list, I think you meant less than $ 450.

If that's the case, and you do only need video upconversion but not HDMI, you might take a look at the Denon AVR-2106.

Yeah, sorry I meant less than $450. It was late last night.
