Pulled the trigger on a 40gig and GTA 4 today from Amazon, hello Blu-Ray.

Now I only need to save for a AVR with HDMI and a HDTV.

Well I'm hoping you have something with a decent picture at least to use. My buddy used to use a 14" sony tube tv to play SOCOM because the larger 26" tv he had had an awful picture. He could actually see more on the tiny screen.

I'm planning on a 50-60" LCD when I get home for the living room. Right now I'll be playing it on my 19" CRT in my room.

Shipping it over here, Xbox 360 don't last but about 3 months in the desert it seems. Nobody I've talked to has had a PS3 die here.

Good purchase. Supposedly, Netflix is tinkering with the idea of making your PS3 compatible with their downloadable online selection.

I played with my new ps3 on my old 27" crt, and man, it was impossible to see all the detail. It's just too much going on. You gotta upgrade that screen.

I've been waiting to get a Bluray player and keep wanting a PS3. I just wish I could use the PS3 with my Pronto remote system.

Got it yesterday, played GTA4 for a couple hours. I like GTA3 gameplay more as of now but I'll give it some more time before I comment further.

Hey! I did the same thing, except with Wal-Mart and a Service Plan instead of Amazon.

I have the HDTV part down.. but I would like the new Yamaha V-663 as my pre-amp. I don't have any real HD switching as of yet.

Oh man. Hope you like your PS3. I think you should've bought an HDTV before the PS3 but whatever floats your boat. Definitely get an HDMI cable as soon as you have the a TV that support it.

the 360 gets hot in a cool room i bet it dam near melts in the desert heat

HMM... about 2 weeks old and my R2 button is malfunctioning.

WHY?
A VERY thin tension spring broke.
So... now my R2 likes to glitch a bit now. I gotta try to find a spring to fix this piece.

DS3 for me soon I guess.

I just fixed it. Took that long... and I like the tension on it now.
