Recently added Parasound Halo P6 Pre-amplifier with HT Bypass to my Denon AVR X4000 and ATI AT542 NC Class D Power Amp (500wpc)
powering Alta Audio Lelantos, 41" 92lb 3-way tower speakers that reach down to 26Hz (so I do not have a Sub in my system).

Connected the P6 unbalanced to the ATI Power Amp and connected the Denon AVR to the P6 using RCA cables via AVR Front Pre-Outs to the HT Bypass input.
Playing both my AudioLab 6000CDT and my Thorens TD-318 TT through the P6 sound great, however trying the get the AVR to play using the HT Bypass
does not work. I loaded an Eagles Concert DVD through my Yamaha BP-A1060 Blu-ray player and I get no sound or picture???
The TV is on the correct input and my Blu-ray player is connected through the AVR using HDMI.
I thought adding HT Bypass allowed both 2 Channel listening and multi-channel HT to work on the same system???

Thanks for your responses.

It sounds as if the trouble is in the Denon. I assume your Denon receiver is connected to the TV. The Parasound pre amp should not affect the picture. If you disconnect the Parasound and connect the preouts to your ATI amp, do you have sound and picture? If not, there is something wrong with your Denon.

I'd also cut the P6 out and connect only the Denon and see if that works....the Denon worked fine before you added the P6?

Are you sure you have selected the bypass input selected as described in the manual?
It only gets automatically selected if the P6 is turned off.

Selecting the Bypass Input The Bypass Input can be selected by two different methods: P 6 is Already Turned On: When the P 6 is turned on you can select the Bypass input with the remote control or the front panel Input selector knob.

P 6 is Turned Off: The Bypass input is automatically selected whenever the P 6 is turned off. This makes it easy to use your surround sound equipment even without turning the P 6 on. The P 6 must be turned on for the Balanced XLR outputs to function.

Thanks for your responses. I have not tried to play the AVR without turning on the P6 (when the Bypass is automatically turned on) especially since I am currently running the p6 to power amp with unbalanced RCA cables from Blue Jeans Cables!
