Seriously, though, I like the looks of the second one better (I'm assuming that you meant that the replacement looks cheesier). I like the form factor and the knobs better.

looks wise i like the first pic, but then, price is slightly over double.

yes, the replacement for the RA-04, the RA-10, has cheesy colored knobs.

for the PC, i only need the 40w. but was thinking future proof as well.

i plan to connect speakers to speaker B. then stereo subs to speaker A. so i can switch between, 'no subs' (speaker B) and 'with subs' faster (speaker A+B)
